Joss Papers, Incense paper and ghost or spirit money, are sheets of paper burned in traditional Chinese deity or ancestor worship ceremonies during special holidays. 

Traditionally this is used for burning for the respected god to bring in blessings of wealth, prosperity and protection for the home or business.

Joss papers are increasingly being used for paper crafts, collage, art journals etc and home decor projects.

The types of paper vary from a plain, thicker incense paper block to very fine rice paper which may be block printed, gilded or plain but often look and feel handmade.
