This book has a special focus on observation. Instead of encouraging the reader to sit in a coffee house and journal about a favourite memory, the author will encourage them to sit in the coffee house and take note of what they see, and how sitting at a particular table makes them feel, right then and there. It's very much about being in the moment. Each card in this deck will focus on a technique that goes beyond the norm (such as experimenting with photo decay) and encourages artists and writers to explore an edgier side to their work. Cards are divided into categories such as "my body," "other artists" and "new ways with text." The accompanying notebook has blank space for the reader to record observations, as well as colourful artwork and inspirational quotes and prompts sprinkled throughout the pages.
